ANGELES CITY – Mayor Carmelo ‘Pogi’ Lazatin commended the inter-office saturation team for their successful clearing operation drives and for collecting an additional P80,273,792.03 tax collection in his first 60 days in the office.
“Napakarami po palang business establishments ang walang permit at ngayon po ay nagcocomply na,” Mayor Lazatin said.
With the continuous inter-office saturation inspection of restaurants and establishments conducted by the Business Permit and Licensing Department (BPLD), City Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO), City Engineers Office (CEO), City Health Office (CHO), San Nicolas Public Market, Gender and Development (GAD) Office, City Emergency and Disaster Command Center, City Economic Development and Investment Promotion Office (ACEDIPO), Zoning Administration, City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) and City Information Office (CIO), the P80,273,792.03 additional revenue marks a 7.62% increase against the P74,153,764.46 collected for the same period last year.
“Dahil po sa effort ninyo, nakasingil na po tayo na additional P80 million na business tax sa nakaraang dalawang buwan," Lazatin said.
This is in line with the campaign of Mayor Lazatin to require all business establishments in the City to follow regulations and policies such as securing business permits.
Meanwhile, BPLD Head Evangeline Malonzo also stressed that business permit issuances will be easier, since the BPLD is already a one-stop-shop.
Papers, if complete, can be processed within 25 minutes.
“Basta kumpleto ang requirements at wala silang violation, matatapos agad ang proseso,” Malonzo furthered.
