ANGELES CITY — Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr. will be launching the 'Angeles City online market’ to provide alternative platform for sellers in the city during this time of pandemic.
This was confirmed by the city's Chief Adviser and Tactician IC Calaguas on Monday, July 20.
Calaguas said this project is the initiative of Lazatin to assist existing and prospective online sellers in the city, especially now that we are facing a pandemic.
Lazatin said his leadership is exerting every possible means to help the business sector especially those in small scale.
“Isa sa mga priorities natin ngayon ay ipromote ang mga small scale businesses. In the same manner, I am encouraging consumers to prioritize our own product,” Lazatin added.
Executive Assistant IV Reina Manuel, Angeles City Economic Development and Investment Promotions Office (ACEDIPO) and City Tourism Office are in constant coordination with the Information Communication and Technology Division (ICTD) for the preparation of the Angeles City online market, which is on its final stages, Calaguas shared.
Local sellers who are interested to join the online market can inquire at the ACEDIPO.
To ensure consumer protection, they must be a registered seller under the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Manuel added.
“We are encouraging our local merchants, and other online sellers, to join our Angeles City online market once launched to the public,” Manuel urged.
Meanwhile, the One Town One Product (OTOP) shop of the city government can be browsed online.
The Facebook page OTOP store Angeles City is showcasing locally-made products where netizens can inquire and purchase instantly.
