ANGELES CITY – Mayor Carmelo ‘Pogi’ Lazatin, Jr. through the Angeles City Employees Multi-Purpose Cooperative and Angeles City Employees for a New and Dynamic Angeles (AGENDA) will distribute rice subsidy to City Hall workers early next week.
In a memorandum issued on March 30, 2020, Lazatin said the City Government will issue 10 kilos of rice per employee as subsidy to all its workers.
“I need to make sure that my fellow public servants are being taken cared of since sila po ang kasama kong naninilbihan lalo na ngayong panahon ng krisis,” Lazatin said.
There is a total of 3,942 employees in City Hall – 980 permanent, 321 casual, 15 contractual, and 2,626 contract of service.
Lazatin also submitted to the City Council the city’s Supplemental Budget No. 1, where P37 million was allocated for City Hall employees hazard pay.
He ordered his Local Finance Committee to pay the hazard pay of frontliners immediately after the approval of the budget.
Vice Mayor Ma. Vicenta Vega-Cabigting scheduled a city council’s session on April 1, 2020 to deliberate the budget.
