Mayor Lazatin creates Task Force vs swine fever

Angeles City Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin Jr. has issued Executive Order No. 38 “creating the Angeles City Task Force Against Swine Fever.”

Mayor Lazatin said the Angeles City Task Force “shall conduct inspections of all pork meat and pork meat products being sold and distributed in Angeles City.”

The Task Force will also “regulate all pork meat products that enter the city from other towns, cities, or provinces to prevent ASF infected pork meat from entering and being sold in Angeles City.”

The AC Task Force Against Swine Fever includes Dr. Mario Samson; Dr. Christian Arcilla, City Veterinary Office; Ms. Reina C. Manuel, Angeles City Slaughterhouse/City Meat Inspection Division; Mr. Jessie Lugtu, Pampang Public Market; and Christopher Guevarra, San Nicolas Public Market.

Lugtu earlier said the pork meat being sold in Angeles City particularly in Pampang Public Market is “clean and safe.”
