ANGELES CITY – Public school teachers and parents of student-beneficiaries expressed their gratitude to the city government, under the leadership of Mayor Carmelo ‘Pogi’ Lazatin Jr., for distributing tablets for use of the learners this school year.
This, after the city government has continued distributing tablets for Grades 4 to 12 students in public schools here, and pledged to provide 2,997 tablets for all the public school teachers.
“Maraming salamat po, Mayor, sa pagmamahal at malasakit po ninyo sa ating mga mag-aaral at guro. Mabuhay po kayo,” Irelyn Tamayo, Schools Division Superintendent of Department of Education in Angeles City, wrote in her comment on the City Information Office Facebook page.
Maria Tara Clemente, and Mary Ghie, both public school teachers from Sto. Rosario Elementary School, said in their comments that the said initiative will be a big help to the transition to the new normal in schooling.
“Dakal po Salamat Mayor madagul la pong sawup kekaming mestra at estudyante ing gagawan yu,” Ghie said.
“Thank you po Mayor mula sa STO. ROSARIO ELEM,” Clemente said.
Agnes Manabat, public school teacher from Alberto G. Pabalan Elementary School, wrote: “Dakal pung Salamat kekayu Mayor keng suporta at lugud yu kareng talaturu ampon magaral a Angeleños. Panwanan na kayu ning Guinu.”
A teacher named Marie Rose Gatmaitan Layug from Salapungan Elementary School also cited the efforts of the city government to assist the education sector amid the pandemic, saying she is happy for her pupils.
“Thank you po Ninong Mayor Carmelo mula sa aming mga guro ng Salapungan ES.. super happy po pra sa aming mga pupils,” Layug wrote.
Moreover, Gina Vergara, a parent of one of the student-beneficiaries, said, “Thank you po mayor Lazatin sa mga tablet n binigay mo sa mga anak nmin.”
According to Arlene Sumala Tan, also a parent, this will benefit the students to adjust in the new normal learning.
“Thank you po mayor pogi...may magagamit napo mga pamangkin at anak ko...god bless and take care po,” Tan wrote.
In a related development, Mayor Lazatin, with First District Rep. Carmelo “Jon” Lazatin II, distributed the second batch of 3,193 tablets to five public schools here on Wednesday, October 14, 2020.
The Lazatin brothers handed over 1,877 tablets to Gov. Rafael Lazatin Integrated School; 527 tablets to Sapalibutad Elementary School; 221 tablets to Enrica Sandico Elementary School; 357 tablets to Salapungan Elementary School; and 211 tablets to Sitio Pader Elementary School.
Last October 3, 2020, Mayor Lazatin also turned over 359 tablets to Cutud Elementary School; 493 tablets to Marisol Bliss Elementary School; 859 tablets to Epza Resettlement Elementary School; 215 tablets to Pulung Cacutud Elementary School; and 91 tablets to Leoncia Elementary School.
The city government has already distributed 5,227 tablets to 10 public schools.
Meanwhile, Mayor Lazatin also clarified that the tablets will be for all Grades 4 to 12 students enrolled in public schools.
The distribution to the other 23 public schools for the 50,000 tablets will be scheduled, as well as for the teachers’ tablets.
