ANGELES CITY - Juliet Quinsaat models a Buntal Clutch Bag from Tamayuq, another “Gawang Angeleño” product found at the One Town, One Product (OTOP) shop.
“It’s an honor and my personal pleasure din, na i-promote ang Gawang Angeleño. Adopted child na ako ng Angeles at lahat ng produktong gawa ng mga tao dito, dapat talaga tayong maging proud. It’s high time we promote our local manufacturers,” she said.
Currently holding the position of City Treasurer, Juliet has been in public service for 43 years.
Originating from the Cordillera Region, Juliet shared she’s had 4 tours with the Bureau of Local Government and Finance. She was eventually assigned here in Angeles City in 2004, serving under the late Congressman Carmelo “Tarzan” Lazatin.
A graduate of BS Accounting, she decided to further her studies and take up a Masters in Public
Administration.
Growing up, Juliet says she has always wanted to serve in the government, after being inspired by her mother, who worked as a cashier at the Kalinga Provincial Capitol.
Juliet vows her support to the Micro Small Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) as she can personally attested how high-quality the locally-made products are.
She leaves this important piece of advice to aspiring public servants: “Kung papasok ka sa gobyerno, kailangan committed and dedicated ka. Masarap magtrabaho bilang public servant, kasi nakakatulong ka sa kapwa mo.”
