Angeles City holds grandest Kambal Festival with 41 floats, 48 twins, 930 street dancers

ANGELES CITY – The city government here under the leadership of Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr., successfully held the grandest Kambal Festival to date, featuring 41 floats and cars, 48 twin participants, and 930 street dancers.

The event, which highlighted the city’s cultural heritage, saw floats and cars parading through the streets, while twin participants and dancers entertained thousands of Angeleños.

The Kambal Festival continues to grow annually, further promoting Angeles City's traditions and spirit.

Mayor Lazatin commended the 33 barangays for participating in the festival, a first since 2019 during his stint, saying by far, this is the most joyful fiesta celebration eversince the pandemic.

"Ngayong taon po, nagpapasalamat po ako at binabati ko ang ating 33 barangays dahil for the first time since 2019, lahat ng barangay sa Angeles City ay may entry sa ating best float at most identical twins competition," Lazatin said.

"Ito na po siguro ang pinakamasayang fiesta natin mula ng pandemya," Lazatin added.

Lazatin also noted the support of Angeleños and the dedication and hard work of all city government employees who ensured the success of the Kambal Festival celebration.

"Maraming salamat po sa ating mga barangay official at ating mga kababayang Angeleño para sa inyong suporta sa ating selebrasyon ngayong taon," Lazatin shared.

"Nagpapasalamat din po ako sa ating mga kawani ng Pamahalaang Lungsod ng Angeles na nagsilbing miyembro ng Organizing Committee ng Kambal Festival," Lazatin expressed.

The committee of the Kambal Festival is headed by Lazatin's Chief Adviser IC Calaguas and Executive Assistant IV Reina Manuel.

The members are Angeles City Tourism Office headed by Anneleen Antonio-Sugui; Gender and Development Office led by Mina Cabiles; Angeles City Barangay Outreach headed by Michael Lising; Angeles City Economic Development Investment and Promotions Office led by Irish Bonus-Llego; Mayor's Office Senior Staff Sharmaine Gonzales, Rachelle Oloya, and Jane Calimquim and members; Angeles City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office led by Rodolfo Simeon; City Engineer's Office headed by Helen Ayro; City Nutrition Office led by Francis De Guzman; General Services Office headed by Evangeline Malonzo; Angeles City Traffic Development Office and Environmental Management System both headed by Francis Pangilinan; Business Permit and Licensing Division led by Enrico Romero; and City Information Office led by Arnel San Pedro.
