ANGELES CITY -- Thirty-one Angeleña beauties, aged 18 to 24, will represent their respective barangays in the upcoming Reyna Delas Flores of the city government on May 11, 2024.
This is the second Reyna Delas Flores or Queen of Flowers tilt to be hosted under the stint of Mayor Carmelo "Pogi" Lazatin, Jr., with a grand prize of P100,000 each for the title and best arch.
Executive Assistant IV Reina Manuel, one of the heads of the supervising committees, said that inclusive to the festival is the showcasing of Gawang Angeleño products, as well as promoting the city's flower industry.
"With this po, we will be having an award for the best gown as we want to showcase our artists' prowess in designing local garments," Manuel said.
In addition, Lazatin's Chief Adviser IC Calaguas said the parade will take place beside Angeles Electric at 4PM.
For her part, City Tourism Officer-in-Charge Anneleen Antonio-Sugui said in the coordination meeting held on May 6, 2024, that the final preparations are ironed out, including the deployment of city hall employees, especially for traffic management.
She is also asking Angeleños to watch and support the upcoming event, which can be seen via the Angeles City Information Office Facebook page.
