ANGELES CITY – The Angeles City Government, led by Mayor Carmelo "Pogi" Lazatin Jr., has once again been recognized for its commitment to excellence, securing its 38th award under this administration.
The city was recently conferred the Recognition for Commitment to Quality Management (Level 1) at the 2024 Philippine Quality Award (PQA) Regionalization Program by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI).
This prestigious recognition underscores Angeles City’s dedication to high-quality governance, continuous improvement, and service excellence.
It also reaffirms the city's commitment to upholding efficient and innovative public service.
Mayor Lazatin expressed his gratitude for the award, emphasizing that it reflects the collective efforts of the local government in ensuring quality programs and services for Angeleños.
"This recognition is a testament to our relentless pursuit of excellence in public service. It is not just an achievement of the city government but of every Angelen?o who inspires us to do better every day," Lazatin said.
The city government has consistently been recognized for its outstanding programs across various sectors, with this latest award further solidifying its reputation as a model for effective and quality governance.
Among the notable awards of the city government are Seal of Good Local Governance, back-to-back Gawad Kalasag, SubayBAYANI award, Gawad Makabata, Seal of Child-Friendly Local Governance, National Finalist in the Walang Gutom Awards for the plastic-to-rice exchange program, consistent top awardee for the most improved in the competitiveness index, good financial housekeeping, and in collection efficiency.
