Angeles City, Pampanga -- Under the leadership of Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin Jr., the Angeles City Government will commence a house-to-house anti-flu vaccination campaign for senior citizens and bedridden individuals starting on the second week of January.
The vaccination roll-out will utilize the city’s Mobile Bus Clinics, ensuring that even the most vulnerable residents receive healthcare services directly at their doorsteps.
To prepare for the initiative, Chief Adviser IC Calaguas and Executive Assistant IV Reina Manuel led a coordination meeting on January 2.
The meeting was attended by City Health Officer Dr. Verona Guevarra, City Human Resources and Management Officer Rowena Yambao, City Social Welfare and Development Officer-in-Charge Francis De Guzman, Office for Senior Citizens Affairs (OSCA) Head Ed Torres, and Gender and Development Officer-in-Charge Mina Cabiles.
“This initiative began during my first term as mayor when I personally visited our beloved senior citizens alongside our team,” Mayor Lazatin shared.
Since 2024, the city has vaccinated 3,735 Angeleño senior citizens and bedridden residents through house-to-house visits, supplemented with Vitamin C to boost their immunity.
Mayor Lazatin emphasized that the welfare of senior citizens and bedridden individuals remains a top priority under his administration.
“No Angeleño will be left behind. By using our Mobile Bus Clinics, we’re ensuring that healthcare services are accessible to everyone, regardless of their mobility or condition,” he said.
The city’s innovative and inclusive approach reflects Mayor Lazatin’s unwavering commitment to providing comprehensive and accessible healthcare for all Angeleños.
