Rosario headed by Renato Cosme; Sta. Teresita led by Joel Sanchez; and Pulungbulu headed by Lorna Zabala; showcased their colorful lanterns as they lit up the Heritage District of Angeles City to spread the Christmas season vibes.
The Lubenas ning Pasku depicts the religious and cultural traditions of Angeleños, in celebration of the Yuletide Season.
This has been a tradition in Angeles City that dates back since the 1800s when Spanish missionaries introduced the practice of making lanterns to Kapampangans.
Mayor Lazatin said that it was good to see these lanterns back in the streets of Angeles City as they serve as beacons of hope to the undying spirit of the Angeleños to rise above any adversities.
