ANGELES CITY – Mayor Carmelo ‘Pogi’ Lazatin Jr. has ordered the distribution of thermal guns to all 33 barangays in the city following the preventive measures against the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
Upon the request of Mayor Lazatin, Chief Adviser IC Calaguas, Executive Assistant IV Reina Manuel and Command Center Officer-in-Charge Michael Lising personally distributed the two units of thermal guns to each barangay.
Mayor Lazatin said the thermal guns aim to aid barangay officials to strictly monitor their respective areas for any coronavirus disease (COVID-19) symptoms.
“We need to bring our proactive and preventive measures down to the ground level to ensure safety against COVID-19. This way, everyone is being monitored and taken care of,” said Lazatin.
He further said it is the priority of the city government to provide the best possible support and assistance at the ground level.
“At the city government, we really prioritize providing health support at the ground level because we want to address the COVID-19 from the very bottom going up,” he said.
Prior to this, Mayor Lazatin also ordered the distribution of free face masks to City Hall in site and out site employees, checkpoint officers, and markets.
He also ordered the purchase of testing kits and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for stronger measures against the COVID-19.
