Mayor Lazatin orders arrest of persons behind child trafficking

ANGELES CITY – Angeles City Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin Jr. has directed the Angeles City Police Office (ACPO) on Wednesday to arrest individuals responsible for child trafficking here.

In a letter to PCol Narvin Mangune, City Director of ACPO, Mayor Lazatin ordered the “arrest of persons responsible for child trafficking in Angeles City, as captured by the city’s CCTV surveillance cameras.”

Angeles LGU inspects 3 Korean restaurants

The Angeles City Environmental Health Services, CENRO, and Business Permit and Licensing Division on Monday morning inspected three Korean restaurants along the Friendship Highway in a bid to improve their operations.

Allan Cunanan, of the City Environmental Health Services, identified the three Korean restaurants as Jung’s Kitchen, Yuk Gae Jang Restaurant and Kang San Ae Restaurant.

ANGELES CITY – Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin Jr. warned businessmen at Fields Avenue not to hire minors or face closure.

Mayor Lazatin abolishes P20 tourism fee

ANGELES CITY – Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin has abolished the P20 tourism promotion and development fee collected from hotel occupants per day of stay.

Mayor Lazatin signed Executive Order No. 9, series of 2019, abolishing the tourism fee after complaints from hotel occupants reached the mayor’s office.
