ANGELES CITY- The city government under the leadership of Mayor Edgardo Pamintuan has launched a free circumcision operation dubbed “Operation Tuli”, Friday at Ospital ning Angeles (ONA).

The project caters to boys aged 10 years old and above, within the 33 villages of the city.

“Operation Tuli has been a tradition every year and a point agenda of the mayor for better public health services,” said Councilor Alexander Indiongco who heads the ONA Mayor’s Desk.

The free circumcision surgery will be conducted by volunteer doctors and nurses of the hospital. It targets approximately 500 to 600 juniors from different families within the 33 barangays of Angeles City.

“With this undertaking, we assure a safe method of operation to our beneficiaries. This will also give them a more affordable option since surgeries such as this in private hospitals are quite pricey,” Councilor Indiongco added.

This operation also advocates proper hygiene for adolescent boys. It is also a way to give attention to their reproductive wellbeing.

The “Operation Tuli” clinic is open from 8:00am to 12:00nn, and will last until May 18 except Saturday and Sunday.

To avail the free service, Angeles City residents can register and get a stub at the Medical Social Services Office or contact the ONA Mayor’s Desk at 0915-224-6746.
