Office and Responsibility (Functions)
The Angeles City Cooperative Development Office (ACCDO) was established through an Executive Order by Mayor Edgardo Pamintuan in 1993. Its ultimate aim is to be the vanguard of the cooperative movement in the city. The ACCDO assumes responsibility for the development of cooperatives thru strengthening and promotion. It shall foster the creation and growth of cooperatives as a practical vehicle for promoting self reliance towards the attainment of economic development.
With this, the ACCO, basically, commits itself in the formation of cooperatives. In view to the Contract with the Angeleños, the cooperative development in the city went through a re-program and positions the resources in its optimum utilization. This will enhance the participation of cooperatives in the field of economic development, and in due time, accord with the rules and regulations implementing certain provisions of the newly amend Philippine Cooperative Code or RA 9520.
